“I Would Have Stayed a Little Bird…”

Last week Sunday, I watched Episode 4 of the final season of Game of Thrones. There were a number of interesting lines in the episode, as with all the other episodes, because the writers of the show are just remarkable. A certain man known for his violence had spoken roughly to Sansa Stark, teasing her in a rude way and calling her “little bird.” He told her that he would have protected her from all of what she went through if only she had been wise enough to listen to him in the past. Rather than feel beaten by the comment, she replied that if not for all the horrible things she had gone through, she would still be a “little bird.”

She basically was letting him know that she had NO REGRETS. That is the story of victory and overcoming. To be at a place in life where you can look at your past and not be hurt by it but to see it as something that catapulted you to a place of greatness in the future. Bran said something similar when told about his legs.

Ladies, remember that everything in your past that did not kill you only made you stronger. You would not be here if you were not able to overcome it. Celebrate that. You are no longer who and what you used to be. You are GREATER! You are BETTER!
