About Omakaria

Omakaria is a social impact enterprise where people, stories and cultures are heavily celebrated. She is a collector of stories and finds herself connected to every story of every woman and by extension, everyone borne of a woman. Omakaria‘s ears are acute to stories of trauma, of suffering, of oppression, but bigger than that, of their healing, of resilience, and of people rising above the very things intended to destroy them.

The Omakaria team interviews people within communities and shares the stories with the world. Customer service, ethics, and customer experience are three major principles that are of great interest to our team. They show up in our stories.

This platform aims to:

  • liberate women and the world: turn frowns into smiles and provide freedom from depression, abuse, fear of success in all its forms through curated education,
  • return self-worth, self-esteem, self-dignity to every trauma and abuse victim,
  • empower an increase of successful women-owned businesses globally,
  • share “pieces” of our staff with the world.

Omakaria is an Igbo word that means “exceptionally beautiful.” Beauty is sometimes birthed through pain. So, audience, please allow for candid stories to be shared. We hope you will see the beauty in our stories, and if you don’t, share with us how to make the shared story beautiful.
